Thick rims shaped like dunes that lengthen into wind-sculpted crescents at one end of each piece distinguish this dinnerware set made of stoneware colored like pure sand. Designed by Aaron Johnson to be rugged yet graceful, Dune debuted as part of the Spring 2008 new introductions. This set consists of dinner plate, salad plate, soup bowl, and mug. The set's neutral color means foods are presented in their own appetizing colors without background distraction, and the dinnerware pairs with any table setting's color scheme. Match the dinnerware with designer Lou Henry’s ultra-slender, stainless-steel flatware, whose handles lift and dip in profile like the undulating ridges of dunes. As with other Nambé stoneware pieces, these items can go directly from the freezer to the (not pre-heated) oven and may be placed in the microwave and dishwasher.

  • Designed by Aaron Johnson; first available fall 2008
  • Set includes dinner plate, salad plate, soup bowl, and mug
  • Microwave safe, freezer safe; oven safe to 375 degrees
  • Dishwasher safe

Stoneware

Nambé Stoneware is oven safe to 375 degrees, freezer safe, microwave safe, and dishwasher safe, and can go straight from the freezer to the oven to the table. Rinse each piece prior to loading it into the dishwasher and avoid overcrowding. Load pieces securely on racks and position so that they do not come into contact with other items during the cycle. Stoneware pieces may also be washed by hand using a mild detergent and soft sponge.

Use
  • Do not subject stoneware items to severe temperature changes; items should be at room temperature before putting hot foods in them
  • When using in the oven, evenly distribute the food or a small amount of liquid on the bottom of the piece
  • Always place stoneware pieces in a cold (not preheated) oven
  • The oven temperature should not exceed 375 degrees
  • Do not use stoneware under the broiler or on a burner
  • Do not place stoneware on a damp surface or immerse in water when it is hot
  • Use insulated pot holders when handling stoneware that has been heated in the oven or microwave
  • To remove marks caused by metal utensils or stains, rub gently using a non-abrasive cleanser and soft sponge

We are unable to offer personalization on this item at this time. Most Nambé Alloy and Nambé Crystal items can be personalized. Our crystal items are personalized through a process called laser etching, which produces a result very similar to sandblasting. We create a high resolution image of your message and turn it over to our personalization experts, who use a computerized laser to create your message onto the surface of your Nambé purchase. For our Nambé Alloy products, the laser etch process is followed by sandblasting for impressively sharp edges.
