Designer Lou Henry must have been gardening when he got his inspiration for Frond flatware. Each handle is as supple as a new shoot, and even shows an angled cut at the end as though freshly snipped. The thickness of the round handle is evident at the cut, which makes a wonderful counterpoint to the especially slim neck. As you sip soup from the mirror-bright, bird-bath spoon bowls and butter your bread with the leaf-shaped knife blade, you'll feel you're outside in a ferny haven, even on a winter's day. Frond is forged from Dishwasher safe, 18/10 stainless steel for perennial luster and strength.

  • 5-piece set includes a dinner knife, dinner fork, salad fork, soup spoon, and teaspoon
  • Forged of 18/10 stainless steel, which is exceptionally lustrous, durable, and rust-resistant
  • Dishwasher safe

Stainless Steel Flatware

Nambé's stainless steel flatware is dishwasher safe. Rinse each piece prior to loading it into the dishwasher and avoid overcrowding. These items may also be washed by hand using a mild detergent and soft sponge. Dry each piece promptly.

Care
  • Wash your flatware as soon as possible after each use
  • Do not leave flatware in standing water for extended periods of time
  • Avoid acidic detergents, such as lemon or other citrus dishwashing soaps, as long-term use of these products can dull your flatware's finish
  • Keep your flatware away from open flame or sources of extreme heat
  • Remove discoloration using a paste of baking soda and water
  • Nambé Polish or a stainless steel polish may also be used to polish Nambé flatware
  • Use care when using flatware and serving utensils together with Nambé Alloy serving pieces; they can scratch the surfaces
  • Do not store your flatware in plastic bags or other wrappings that trap moisture; for safe storage, remove from original packaging and wrap pieces individually in a soft cloth

Nambé

Nambé possesses a certain mystique. Partly it's our very name and our connections to the landscape, culture and history of our origins. Nambé (pronounced na:m'bei) was christened for a tiny village near Santa Fe in Northern New Mexico where the company was founded in 1951.

But there's more to it, this mystique, which makes Nambé the "lifestyle" brand valued by people who love simple, elegant designs and love to share them with others.

The most distinguishing characteristic of Nambé is that our company is devoted as passionately to form as it is to function. Many early Nambé designs (Tri-Corner and Butterfly bowls, for instance) still sell briskly. This dedication to design defines Nambé. Timeless art you can use every day.

Early on, discerning buyers and customers of prestigious stores like Neiman-Marcus, Saks 5th Avenue, Bloomingdale's and Gump's discovered Nambé. Museums added Nambé to their collections and exhibits. For its beauty, quality and heirloom value, Nambé became a favorite gift, especially for brides. The collection grew and became a world brand.

In 1998, we introduced the collection of Nambé full-lead crystal, in 2001, Nambé lighting, and in 2003, Nambé porcelain. Additional collections and other exciting news about Nambé are imminent. Sign up for our email newsletters and we'll keep you posted.

We are unable to offer personalization on this item at this time. Most Nambé Alloy and Nambé Crystal items can be personalized. Our crystal items are personalized through a process called laser etching, which produces a result very similar to sandblasting. We create a high resolution image of your message and turn it over to our personalization experts, who use a computerized laser to create your message onto the surface of your Nambé purchase. For our Nambé Alloy products, the laser etch process is followed by sandblasting for impressively sharp edges.
