Fuego brings the zeal of the unusual to the table. Designer Peter Stathis doesn't shy from bold expression, as evidenced by his Capio crystal as well as this forged 18/10 stainless-steel flatware. Not only are the tear-drop handles exaggerated in breadth, but each is pierced with an off-center and eye-catching oval hole. Kids will get a kick out of peeking or wiggling their pinkies through the holes, and adults will fine-tune their balancing skills with the perfectly weighted pieces. Stainless Steel Flatware
Nambé's stainless steel flatware is dishwasher safe. Rinse each piece prior to loading it into the dishwasher and avoid overcrowding. These items may also be washed by hand using a mild detergent and soft sponge. Dry each piece promptly.
Care
- Wash your flatware as soon as possible after each use
- Do not leave flatware in standing water for extended periods of time
- Avoid acidic detergents, such as lemon or other citrus dishwashing soaps, as long-term use of these products can dull your flatware's finish
- Keep your flatware away from open flame or sources of extreme heat
- Remove discoloration using a paste of baking soda and water
- Nambé Polish or a stainless steel polish may also be used to polish Nambé flatware
- Use care when using flatware and serving utensils together with Nambé Alloy serving pieces; they can scratch the surfaces
- Do not store your flatware in plastic bags or other wrappings that trap moisture; for safe storage, remove from original packaging and wrap pieces individually in a soft cloth
Peter Stathis
Peter Stathis is an industrial designer and the Principal of Virtual Studio in San Francisco. His work is in the permanent collections of the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and has been showcased in many publications including the Wall Street Journal and Business Week. Various design institutions including the International Contemporary Furniture Fair and International Design Magazines Annual Design Review have also recognized him. He has served as the Head of the 3-D Design Department at Cranbrook Academy of Art. Stathis holds an MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art.
