Graceful upswinging curves expressing the serenity and lightness of a butterfly distinguish this Butterfly II glossy white porcelain dinnerware set designed by Todd Myers. The four-piece set debuted in Spring 2008 as part of the beloved Butterfly Collection, our most extensive. It consists of dinner plate, salad plate, soup bowl, and mug. The set's neutral color means foods are presented in their own appetizing colors without background distraction, and the dinnerware pairs with any table setting's color scheme. A perfect complement to the dinnerware is Karim Rashid's stainless-steel flatware with its rhythmically rippling handles. As with other Nambé porcelain pieces, these items may be placed in the microwave and dishwasher.
Todd Myers came to Nambé in 2005. As Director of Design, he works with our esteemed designers to create new works of beauty and function, as well as developing his own award-winning product for the Nambé brand. Myers' background is design, holding a degree in industrial design from the University of Cincinnati.
A sculptor at heart, Myers is consumed with form, and his designs are definitely "hands-on." Myers approaches design through an intense immersion on how an object should speak to the observer and user through form, materiality, and functionality.
