Like the matching place settings, Spinnaker serving ware features strong, straight handles with a rounded back. In profile, the blunt end takes the shape of a billowing spinnaker sail. Perhaps it's fitting that the flatware is designed by Frederic Spector of Rhode Island, where the coastal waters often teem with America's Cup yachts. You don't need to live on the water, though, to add a racy feel to your daily table with this gleaming stainless-steel pattern. The three servers resemble large spoons, all nine inches in length, one solid, one pierced with a single round hole, and the third sporting whimsical "teeth." In addition to a dishwasher-safe finish, the perfect heft and shipshape craftsmanship will admirably fill your sails.

  • About The Designer

    Frederic Spector is principal and owner of the Frederic Spector Design Studio in Providence, Rhode Island, specializing in commercial and residential furniture, lighting and tabletop products. His designs for Nambé include the Nambé metal Spinnaker Bowls and the Arch designs.

    Spector holds a Master's Degree in Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design and is an adjunct professor at the school's Department of Interior Architecture, where his students focus on the relationship of materials and techniques of furniture and furnishings to interior design spaces. Spector's own designs have won awards from the Institute of Business Designers and the American Society of Interior Designers.
