About Nambé

In 1951, Nambé began with a bold vision in the village of Nambé, New Mexico. What started with metallurgist Martin Eden’s creation of a unique eight-metal alloy, brought to life by Pauline Cable, has since evolved into a globally recognized name in home décor and tableware. As Nambé celebrates its 75th anniversary, it stands as a testament to timeless beauty, artistic integrity, and uncompromising quality, honoring its roots while embracing the future.

Nambé has redefined functional art, blending mid-century modern sensibilities with innovative craftsmanship. From our iconic alloy serveware, known for its lustrous finish and the temperature retention properties, to our expanded collections in wood, stainless steel, and ceramics, we’ve collaborated with some of the world’s most esteemed designers to bring style and purpose into homes. Many of our pieces have graced the permanent collections of renowned institutions, from The British Museum in London to the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, earning accolades for over seven decades.

As we mark a momentous milestone in 2026, Nambé reflects on a journey of evolution – from our early days crafting at our foundry in New Mexico, to our modern global presence under Portmeirion Group since 2019.

Here's to 75 years of museum-quality design and to the artistry still ahead.
