Karim Rashid

Karim Rashid

Rashid was born in Cairo, Egypt and grew up in England and Canada. He earned a degree in industrial design from Carleton University in Ottawa, and next studied design in Italy. His work has won more than 50 design awards and has been exhibited by or acquired for the permanent collections of MoMA, the British Design Museum, Toronto Design Exchange, MoMA of San Francisco and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

In 1990 he was hired by Tiffany & Co. in New York to be one of their three staff designers. Five years later he moved to New Mexico to become design director for Kabana. Since 2006 Rotenier has been directing and managing Rémy Design, a premier destination for jewelry creations, where he focuses on designing collections, teaching his famous rendering techniques in black and white and color, and custom design for private clientele.

Josh Owen is an internationally renowned industrial designer, educator, and author. He is the president of his eponymous design studio, Josh Owen LLC, and is the Vignelli Distinguished Professor of Design and Director of the Vignelli Center for Design Studies at The Rochester Institute of Technology. Owen's projects are produced by major manufacturers and have won many awards. His work is included in the permanent design collections of the Centre Georges Pompidou, the Chicago Athenaeum, the Corning Museum of Glass, the Denver Art Museum, the Musee des beaux-arts de Montreal, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the National Museum of American Jewish History and the Taiwan Design Museum. Possessing an intuitive sense of design, Todd, a self-taught artist, has been creating sculptures and jewelry since 1974, turning wood, stone and metal into unique art forms. Over the last three decades, his work has been shown in numerous shops, galleries and gift catalogs. Since 1976, Nambe´ has, at various times, featured Todd's work. His sculpting style has timelessly lent itself well to the smooth, flowing lines that are Nambé.

Aaron Johnson's design studio is dedicated to the simple mission of creating beautiful objects for the home. As a third-generation New Mexican, Johnson has always drawn inspiration from the stark beauty of the canyonlands, mountains and deserts of the Southwest. Johnson's work is in the permanent collections of The Chicago Athenaeum and other museums of art and design. He has won a number of design awards including The Chicago Athenaeum's 2000 and 2001 Good Design awards and platinum ADEX awards in 1999 and 2000.

Scott and Torrie Morrison

For over 25 years, Scott and Torrie Morrison have been designing products for the home. Both graduates of Rhode Island School of Design, Scott and Torrie live and work just outside of New York City. Scott, a product designer and sculptor, works on the form-based projects in a wide variety of materials. Torrie, an illustrator and graphic designer, works on the surface design of the products. Because of their collective talent and experience the Morrisons collaborate to create distinctive products across many product categories. Their work has been featured in many home and design publications and used on the sets of both movies and television programs.
